EULEN Environment develops the green filter service, an innovative service through which it is possible to carry out biological treatment of urban water and wastewater from various industries by filtering and eliminating nutrients, emerging pollutants, salts and pathogenic microorganisms.
The green filters that we propose at Grupo EULEN are systems that go beyond a simple wastewater treatment plant and also generate a clear added value. In addition to treating wastewater, it is possible to produce biomass intensively, as we use very fast-growing poplar genotypes (cutting cycles of 2 to 3 years), which generates a by-product with commercial value that reduces the final costs of operation and maintenance of the green filter. In addition, the plant species used in our filters capture CO2 in the biomass growth processes and have a positive environmental impact, as they generate a forest ecosystem of great natural and landscape value. Our main objective is to provide a biological and completely innovative solution to the purification/reuse of wastewater.
